Tomthumb.info has started this petition to show how strongly people feel that the laws on bullying need to be changed. Stronger, less tolerant laws need to be put in place so that not a single person whether adult or child has to live with the effects that it causes. please comment below to show you support….
Whilst on Facebook i came across this which had been posted by http://www.facebook.com/bullymovie and shows some very scary stats about the U.S and bullying. The figures are disgustingly high and show just how big this problem is. We need to put a full stop on bullying..

Laws, no matter how strong, will never stop a bully, they never stopped me, and they never stopped those who bullied me. Our legal systems are overworked and cumbersome now, our correctional facilities are overcrowded and ineffectual.
New laws, NO, we need to speak up at every opportunity and say enough, we need to be empowered to say were not going to stand aside and hope somebody else takes responsibility for what happens to us. Forget the petition, talk to your neighbour, get them to talk to their neighbour, make a pact to stand up to bully`s and take our lives back.
If we stand up for ourselves and each other, how can anybody bully you!
Some may think that the petition is of no use and it may just be a list of names but it is a group of people that are willing to stand together as one voice all trying to achieve the same goal, to put a full stop to bullying. We agree that everyone should talk to your neighbour, get them to talk to their neighbour, make a pact to stand up to bully`s and take our lives back. Whatever each of us can do helps in the fight against bullying and taking our lives back. Tomthumb.info started this petition so the voice of those against bullying can be heard and people can see just how strongly others feel about the matter. Alone we can do little but together we can achieve great things.
Thank you what you are doing is most critical. Bullying is more comfortable “juvenile” language for the process leading up to, enciting and tolerating more violent crimes.
